Gesa-Marie & Jochen’s romantic country wedding
I met Gesa-Marie and Jochen for the first time about a year before their big day. Full of enthusiasm they told me about their plans for their fairy-tale wedding. They wanted to get married outside of Berlin, near a beautiful lake, amidst nature with family and friends. The country house “Gühlen” about an hour away from Berlin was a perfect fit.
I love photographing in Brandenburg: its wide landscapes, thick forests, endless lakes and little sleepy villages always make a perfect scenery for portraits. When I arrived at the their wedding location the two lovebirds were busy getting ready while their family and friends perfected the decor. They tied the knot under the open sky on the terrace of the villa. The ceremony was followed by a champagne reception with hearty canapés before we all wandered to the shore. In a perfect setting with a lake view everyone indulged in cakes and sweets. At night they had dinner and a great party inside the country house.
