A wedding day in Berlin Mitte, Moabit and Schöneberg
Jörg and Sascha’s summer wedding…let me recollect: drops of sweat during the preparations, a ceremony in Schöneberg, a comedy bus trip through the heart of Berlin and a journey through time back to the Sixties in the unique PanAm Lounge…
What a day it should be…I arrived at Jörg and Sascha’s house at 7am on a Saturday morning in August. It was a already sweltering 28°C which made their final preparation efforts somewhat sweaty.
Shortly after, they said ‘Yes’ at the town hall in Berlin’s western suburb of Schöneberg which was followed by an intimate champagne-reception in the neighbouring park.
While the guests had “time off” until the early afternoon Jörg, Sascha and I went to PanAm Lounge for a photo shoot. What a wonderful time travel back to the Sixties this place is!
As the wedding party came together again we were welcomed by Jutta Hartmann and her team in their Comedy-Bus. They took us on an light-hearted tour through ‘their’ Berlin which included a German-style sausage picnic and an improved fashion show in the heart of the government district.
The day was rounded off at PanAm Lounge with a BBQ-buffet, a glorious sunset and a hilarious show by the inimitable Kiki Cessler…
Thanks to Uli and the JaSager-team for putting the day together!
